It’s only been a month season 2 of Sex Education aired but Netflix have already confirmed a third season WITH a trailer!
It’s been officially confirmed that we will be seeing Otis, Maev, Eric and co again (hardly surprising). The trailer can be seen below:
The trailer shows the Headmaster of Moordale High, Michael Groff, walking down a corridor with portraits of the main characters hung on the walls. After coming to the final portrait which picture Eric and Adam we hear him say “What’s in store for these two cherrubs, well, i suppose you’ll have to find out in season 3”.
It comes as no shock that a third season is in the works, the show has been praised by many for it’s open and honest approach to social issues whilst in high school. All of the characters in the show are discovering sex, sexuality and the good and bad that comes with it. But every topic that is explored, from abortion to homosexuality, is met with love and kindness and developing relationships with friends, family, and partners. You can read more about the background of the show here.
The show has also covered some very real situations including Aimee’s assault which according to The Tab was actually based on a real life situation that happened to Laurie Nunn, the screen and play writer of the series.
So, What’s in store for season 3? Well, there’s no details or release date yet so for now, it’s time to re-watch the previous seasons.
