Everyone was so excited when it was announced that Parks and Recreation were coming back for a one-off special, raising money for charity during the coronavirus pandemic. The team came back together for an amazing episode last week that raised over $3.5 million so far for Feeding America, as fans can still donate if they like.
The original cast, including Amy Poehler, Chris Pratt, and Nick Offerman, came together for a lockdown special, as the cast spoke over video conferencing. Fans were ecstatic to see the stars back together after the mockumentary ended 5 years ago. The fundraising episode aired on Thursday, but many people sadly missed the opportunity to watch it. Thankfully, you can still catch up on the quarantine version of Parks and Rec!

The special was a great way to lift everyone’s spirits. Not only was it a fantastic way to raise money, but it was a great reminder of how much we miss the sitcom. Michael Schur, the creator of Parks and Rec alongside cult favorite The Office, organized the event. This has brought into question whether other shows may follow suit.
