The main star of the show casually dropped the news in a recent post on social media. Does it mean we will see The Tiger King Season 2?
Joseph Maldonado-Passage (AKA Joe Exotic) made a post to his official Facebook page yesterday in which he ranted about the issues he faced whilst being the owner of the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park. You can read the whole post here.
During the post, he talked about how “Gary D is being paid for interviews for the 2nd season Of Netflix Tiger King”. That’s pretty solid evidence that a second season of the crazy yet addicting documentary is on its way.
It seems that Joe’s former business partner Jeff Lowe also couldn’t help but also drop a hint on the future of the show during a Cameo in which he said “Watch season 2”. Surely that’s enough evidence now…
Netflix are yet to comment on where the show goes next, however two producers of The Tiger King have hinted about the future of the show. At the end of an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Eric Goode and Rebecca Chaiklin ominously said “To be continued,” and went onto mention the amount of footage that is still yet to be seen.
It’s safe to say we all need more Tiger King action in our lives, but is there really that much more to see? the first instalment took us pretty much up to present day with Joe Exotic serving a 22 year sentence so it will be interesting to see where a Tiger King Season 2 takes us.
