Season 2 of The Witcher is ready to resume filming again and we now have a working title.
Filming for the season began in February this year but was abruptly halted due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However Business is set to resume on August 17th which was announced on the official TV show’s Twitter page.
As covered by Production Weekly, the working title for the forthcoming series is “Mysterious Monsters”. This is a clear nod to Geralt’s primary occupation which is hunting mysterious monsters which to be honest, we didn’t see too much of in the first season.
The Witcher had received criticism for it’s confusing timelines. However, Showrunner Lauren Hissrich stated that The Witcher season 2 will feature a more traditional narrative structure and timeline than season 1. Hopefully this will mean the series is a lot more focused allowing fans to keep up! You can have a look at our timeline breakdown Here.
Film and television projects have been given the green light to resume according to recent reports. Studios across the UK, in particular, have been told that filming can begin again. The second season of The Witcher was looking to be released later this year. But it may look like more episodes will now be coming in 2021.
