Extended Office Episodes When The Show Moves To Peacock

Let’s be honest we are all counting down the days until The Office is not on Netflix. However, there could be an upside to the show moving to Peakcock in 2021.

When NBC announced plans to launch its own streaming service it wasn’t long until they wanted The Office back to allow them to compete with other streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime. Netflix currently owns streaming rights to the show until the end of 2020. The addition of the show might be one of the only reasons people pay a subscription fee to Peacock since The Office is one of the most-streamed shows on Netflix.

When The Office comes to Peacock in 2021 fans might have even more of the show to enjoy. Matt Strauss, chairman of Peacock and NBCUniversal Digital Enterprises, recently spoke to Bloomberg about the additional content they will be bringing to Peacock in the form of extended episodes not available on Netflix.

“We will be reintroducing The Office in a more complete way, incorporating elements that were not part of the original broadcast.”

As we all know The Office has countless hours of deleted scenes many of which are already on YouTube:

Strauss however didn’t reveal any specific examples of how the episodes will be different – They seem to be playing their cards close to their chest! Will, they just uploaded the extended episodes that you can see on the DVDs, or will we be treated to never before seen clips!

It’ll be fun to see what Peacock does with The Office when we see it in 2021 – Will there be even more scenes cut such as the recent ‘Blackface‘ from season 9? Let’s just hope they have a good 14-day trial so we can binge the new stuff before we have to pay…

However, if you aren’t able to wait for some extra stuff ‘The Office Spin-Off’ is happening soon and you can read about it all here.
