The effects of the pandemic are still ongoing. And we never thought the day would come where I’m a Celebrity campmates would be doing bushtucker trials in the UK! Every year, a bunch of celebrities have headed to Australia to complete a number of tasks to win food for camp. And while the ITV thankfully hasn’t been cancelled (because we all know it’s the start of Christmas when it starts), the show has now had to change locations. No longer will the celebrities be heading to the outback shack, but NORTH WALES!
No official news has yet been confirmed by ITV. But tons of rumours have been swirling around about where in North Wales I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here will be filmed. With overseas travel still an issue, base camp will now be placed in Wales. And there have been a few potential choices for ITV to choose where to send 12 celebrities. A castle has fueled rumours as they posted on their Facebook page “Gwrych Castle and Estate will be temporarily closing to the public at 5pm on Sunday 23rd August until New Year. Keep checking our website and social media for updates”. This has led many to believe this could be the new I’m a Celebrity camp for this year…
Could this be the new camp?
Twitter user Caroline George (@girlygolfer2013) has created another stir as she captured a number of huts at Llyn Brenig on the Denbigh Moors. 20 miles from the first rumoured camp, the above image illustrates another potential base camp for celebrities to spend three weeks. George also spotted TV production heading into the site, with security also seen protecting the area.
ITV will currently be working to ensure health and safety is perfect for when the new campmates head to their new site. The reservoir around the area was also restricted, highlighting that the crew may have been shooting promos for the upcoming series. Little detail has been given but the new series looks set to be amazing!
Keep you eyes peeled for more information…
More details are set to be revealed throughout the year. And soon we will be seeing Ant and Dec back on our screens. Things will be a little different this year. Will contestants be eating Kangaroo Anus still we wonder? While it may be different, we can’t wait to see the new series!
