Coming To Netflix In October 2020

Whether you are looking for that perfect Halloween scary movie or just need another TV series to binge, here’s what’s coming to Netflix in October.

October 1st

There are plenty of horror classics heading to Netflix to kick the spooky season off, and with Halloween just around the corner it’s perfect timing! The films landing on October 1st are:

Paranormal Activity 4 – The fourth instalment in the series follows a family after they take a neighbour’s son into their home after his parents fall ill. However The creepy events that follow show that the boy may not have entered the home alone.

The Conjuring – This paranormal classic was a huge success and also went on to spawn an entire universe of spinoffs including ‘The Nun’ and ‘Anabelle’. The film is based on true events because and makes it ten times more scary.

Other classics making their way to the streaming platform on this day are:

Addams Family Values (1993) – The sequel to the 1991 hit movie.

Corpse Bride (2005) – A Tim Burton classic gothic animation.

Into the Storm (2014) – Disaster film in which tornadoes are tearing up the fictional town of Silverton.

Kangaroo Jack (2003) – Light hearted comedy with a gangster Kangaroo.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005) – Four friends, one pair of jeans… it’s certainly original.

The Ugly Truth (2009) – Gerard Butler and Katherine Heigl star in this rom-com.

October 2nd

Emily In Paris – Emily is brought to Paris to encourage her American mindset to a French company. However problems begin when she is left with trying to balance her commitments, friendships and relationships.

October 7th

Hubie Halloween – Adam Sandler and Noah Schnapp star in this Halloween themed family movie. Hubie (Sandler) takes it upon himself to investigate the spooky goings on in his home town however not everyone is convinced in his skills.

October 9th

The Haunting of Bly Manor – The follow-up season to The Haunting of Hill House and it’s keeping the same Haunted house theme! However it will be based on the 1898 horror novella called ‘The Turn of the Screw’ by Henry James.

October 19th

Unsolved Mysteries Volume 2 – Earlier this year we were treated to the return of ‘Unsolved Mysteries’. A series of true cases which have puzzled investigators but can the series help develop some leads? The second volume will hit Netflix on October 19th and we can expect more head scratching cases.

October 21st

Rebecca – This romantic thriller stars Lily James (Yesterday, Mama Mia 2) as a newly married woman in a seemingly perfect relationship but can she fend off the shadow of her husband’s ex-wife?

Over the Moon – Animated family adventure in which a girl builds a rocket in order to find a goddess on the moon.

The Queen’s Gambit – TV Mini-Series about woman who is set on becoming a chess master, but struggles with her addictive personality begin to get in her way.

And that’s everything coming to Netflix in October, plenty of spooky films to get you through but with some family movies or rom-coms if that’s more your thing.
