The much-anticipated is finally heading to Netflix tomorrow! Yes, that’s right, Enola Holmes can be enjoyed by subscribers around the world as the film drops on September 23rd! We may all think we know the traditional story of the most famous detective. But Enola Holmes may soon change everything we know…

The streaming service, along with Nancy Springer, have brought a classic story to life, but with a spin. While we all know by now the story of Sherlock Holmes, the Netflix Original is now focusing on his teenage sister. Netflix synopsis describes the movie as: “When Enola Holmes—Sherlock’s teen sister—discovers her mother missing, she sets off to find her, becoming a super-sleuth in her own right as she outwits her famous brother and unravels a dangerous conspiracy around a mysterious young Lord”.

Enola Holmes has a stellar cast, including Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill, Sam Claflin, and Helena Bonham-Carter. Rotten Tomatoes has given the Netflix Original a score of 89% also, which means we could be set for a treat! Early critics gave Enola Holmes rave reviews, as it has been described as ‘the Sherlock Holmes for a younger audience’. Thank God we can watch it tomorrow!

Henry Cavill recently spoke to Radio Times to talk about the upcoming movie. The actor said, “Our Sherlock is different from what we may see as the traditional misogynistic genius. Enola softens Sherlock and opens up his heart, which we haven’t really had access to in other renditions”. The star continued to say playing the famous character was “a lot of fun”. And it seemed Millie Bobby Brown enjoyed playing Enola Holmes – but not without difficulty! As the young actress has played Eleven in the sci-fi series Stranger Things for a number of years, she struggled to speak in a British accent. Which is also her own!
