The successful Netflix TV show has a confirmed date for when the second season will being filming.
Locke & Key’s first season began streaming in February this year and received mostly positive reviews. The show was praised for it’s perfect blend of drama, mystery, horror and comedy however was criticised for it’s slow pace at times.
The second season has been confirmed to being filming in late September in Toronto, Canada, any further details of the season have not been disclosed. Like many shows this year, Locke & Key will be working around stricter Covid-19 restrictions.
Locke & Key is adapted from a series of comics of the same name written by Joe Hill. The story centres around Key House which holds mysterious keys all with the ability to do different extraordinary things. When the Locke family move into the home they are aware pretty quickly that the keys are meant for something bigger.

According to What’s on Netflix, Connor Jessop who plays Tyler Locke stated that “The writers have been working on season two so if it does get picked up, we are ready”. It seems as though the writers were very pro-active with the show.
