The news we’ve all been wanting to hear! The coronavirus pandemic halted production for the foreseeable future, as Netflix waited to ensure safety precautions were met so filming could restart. And now Stranger Things Season 4 will now be back filming again. The streaming service will restart production for the hugely popular series, amazing!

Things are finally starting to pick up again. Deadline has reported that production has now been unpaused and will restart again in Atlanta, Georgia on September 28th. This means the Stranger Things cameras will now start rolling again, with all the cast back to film episodes ready for season 4. Production started way back in March. The Duffer Brothers announced on Valentine’s Day that production was starting. This was the same day the teaser trailer featuring Hopper dropped. “We’re excited to officially confirm that production on Stranger Things 4 is now underway — and even more excited to announce the return of Hopper” the creators announced. But as the world knows, just as production began, the pandemic took hold.

Things are looking up!

Although fans were disappointed that we would have to wait much longer for the fourth season of Stranger Things, the lockdown measures brought some good news for the sci-fi series. Writers of the Netflix Original were able to write and complete all scripts by June. Nancy actress Natalia Dyer even announced that the unplanned hiatus has meant the upcoming 8 episodes are even better than first imagined!

The Duffer Brothers have even teased us about the new season that will be back in full swing next week. The creators suggested “Although it’s not all good news for our ‘American’ (Hopper); he is imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human…and other. Meanwhile, back in the states, a new horror is beginning to surface, something long buried, something that connects everything. Season 4 is shaping up to be the biggest and most frightening season yet, and we cannot wait for everyone to see more. In the meantime — pray for the American”. We are ready for it!

Let’s hope production goes smoothly!

While it is exciting that production for Stranger Things will soon start again, we can’t set our hopes that there won’t be any bumps down the road. Production has changed massively around the globe, with kissing and intimate scenes proving a difficult task for many. As the virus is still at large, productions that have restarted have seen a number of issues. Warner Brothers ‘The Batman’ was soon shut down after someone tested positive on set. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed that the Stranger Things gang keep safe!
