Andy Samberg and Craig Robinson are joining forces for the comedy we have been waiting for! While this year seems to have provided nothing but bad news, there’s finally a movie we can look forward to. Jake Peralta and Doug Judy are back doing what they do best. Brooklyn Nine Nine fans get ready, because this is set to be hilarious!
The Pontiac Bandit, alongside our favorite detective, is returning for a superhero comedy, as Deadline has reported that the duo is teaming up for a movie named Super High. Sources suggest that the film will focus on a special weed, that when people smoke it, it gives them special powers! Common will also star in the movie, with Adam Mansbach working on production, the author behind Go the F**k to Sleep.
Who else is excited for Super High?!
We might be waiting quite some time for Super High to hit cinemas, with many productions only just returning to normality since March. Brooklyn Nine-Nine has even seen a push back, with episodes scrapped, scripts rewritten and the 8th season coming next year. Super High could be the newest hit, with Andy Samberg’s latest movie Palm Spring becoming a smash.
The actor recently spoke to Collider, talking all things Palm Springs. When talking about the ending, Samberg said:
“‘We re-edited it a few different ways, and kind of landed on what we had by way of doing like small friends and family screenings and polling people until we got to one where, three screenings in a row after the ending we said, ‘Did everyone like the ending?’ And everyone raised their hand. And we were like, ‘Alright, it might not be perfect but everyone liked it!”.
If Super High is anything like Palm Springs, Brooklyn Nine-Nine fans are set to adore the new superhero comedy. Seeing Samberg and Robinson back together in this comedy is going to be a treat. These two just have the best chemistry!
