Sad news for TVD fans. The Vampire Diaries has a mass following around the world, with millions of die-hard fans. But it’s time so say goodbye, as the popular series is leaving Netflix. There are currently plans to get rid of the show on UK Netflix. But be warned – other countries are also about to see The Vampire Diaries cut from our favorite streaming service…

The 8 season series will be cut on November 1st, meaning UK viewers will have to binge The Vampire Diaries one last time before its cut from the platform. TVD became a fan-favorite over 11 years ago, as the long-running fantasy series remains a cult classic with teenagers and young adults. The Vampire Diaries has also gained popularity in recent months due to TikTok, as teens took to the social media app to remind users of how perfect the series is to binge. But sadly it seems Netflix doesn’t agree…

Only 3 years after the last season dropped on UK Netflix, The Vampire Diaries is saying goodbye. The CW series focused on Elena, as she is introduced to the world of vampires when two brothers fight for her affection.

IMDb describes the series as:

“The lives, loves, dangers and disasters in the town, Mystic Falls, Virginia. Creatures of unspeakable horror lurk beneath this town as a teenage girl is suddenly torn between two vampire brothers”.

From The Vampire Diaries has come two spin-off shows, The Originals, and Legacies. Both series will remain on Netflix despite The Vampire Diaries leaving Netflix. There’s no news as of yet where UK viewers can watch the show on another platform. Rumors have circulated that UK streaming service Now TV may have bought the rights to the Warner Brother series. But that may only be a temporary measure…

The Vampire Diaries is intended to move from Netflix over to HBO Max, which could affect countries around the world. HBO Max isn’t currently available in the UK, which explains the reason why it currently has no new home. The CW series usually live on Netflix for five years, which means US Netflix users could see the series leave in the near future. We’re said to see The Vampire Diaries leave Netflix!
