I’m A Celebrity has been on air just over a week now, and while fans have adapted to the new setting of the show, there’s just something we all can’t put of finger on! The old castle Jester has had the country talking. Firstly, how creepy the talking painting is! But most people want to know the identity behind it. And there are tons of theories!
The odd Jester made it’s debut when Russell Watson and Ruthie Henshall entered camp. The pair were given a secret mission, including getting the Castle Coin question wrong, with instructions given by the Jester himself. While fans were thoroughly entertained by the tasks given to the celebs, people were distracted by who voices the Jester. While the campmates have nicknamed him Dave, others believe the laughing jester could be a famous celeb…
While ITV has not confirmed the voice of ‘Dave’, social media users have thrown around a number of names…
- Tom Jones
- Rob Brydon
- Stephen Mulhern
- Joe Lycett
- Julien Macdonald
- Craig Cash
- Richard Mylan
- and even Declan Donnelly!
The Gwrych Castle official Twitter account has even posted hints to who the identity behind the Jester is. The Groove Armada song seems to have confused fans even further, as viewers of I’m A Celeb are struggling to link the clues. Many believe there could be some link to Gavin & Stacey, after fans pleaded with ITV to bring Nessa into the show. While our wishes have yet to be granted, there could be some other famous faces to join!
Tv binge-watchers have also noted that Dave the Jester actually copies the idea from reality show Big Brother. With Big Brother no longer on air, it seems like the perfect opportunity for ITV to adapt the idea. We just want to know who it could possibly be!
