It’s only been a couple of days. But I’m A Celeb has already been hit with a ton of Ofcom complaints. After the show began on Sunday night, it seemed people weren’t happy with the new format. Or what producers decided to show the millions of people watching at home. The popular ITV series has been hit with two sets of complaints, and people really aren’t happy!
As many of you will have witness, BBC Radio One DJ Jordan North is terrified of a number of elements, including heights, snakes and confined spaces. In the first episode, we were all left gobsmacked as he vomited in the bushes before having to abseiling down the cliff face. While the trial had barely started, the country couldn’t help but watch North spew on national TV. And many people have had something to say about it…
Ofcom announced in a statement that:
“Ofcom has received a total of 79 complaints for last night’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! of which 37 related to scenes of Jordan vomiting and 18 related to non-specific animal welfare”.
While nearly half of the complaints for the series premiere were focused on Jordan vomiting, others also felt the treatment of animals was unacceptable. Isn’t he first show, thousands of creepy crawlies were used in the trial that included all 10 celebrities. With the stars they had won, they went back to camp to eat rabbit, with viewers feeling uneasy with this.
Many people may not have been a fan of watching Jordan North throwing up infront of millions. Others can’t help but laugh at the DJ’s choice of reality shows! Even Shane Richie made a joke that he should have gone on Strictly Come Dancing! We really can’t wait to see how he deals with the rest of the trials. We’re sue the public will be voting him a few more times!
