Ahhhh Casino Night. The season 2 finale where we finally got to see our favorite couple kiss, with Jim admitting his feelings to Pam. Across all 9 seasons of The Office, we witness one of the best, yet most realistic, relationships flourish. From courtship to marriage and kids, Jim and Pam’s journey doesn’t start (or end) smoothly. But that doesn’t stop Office fans obsessing over them still, even after the show ended in 2013. Casino Night provides a pivotal moment in their relationship. And now, we can finally see how the actors felt about two whole seasons of build-up!
Now Peacock has become the official streaming service to find The Office, they have treated us to some exclusive behind the scenes clips. A new video recently dropped on their YouTube channel. The below video shows us how Jenna Fischer and John Krasinski felt about that infamous scene. If you felt nervous watching it, then you can imagine how Fischer and Krasinski felt filming it!
Peacock posted the video with this caption:
Unearthed from the NBC archives: A behind the scenes look at the making of The Kiss with Jenna Fischer and John Krasinski.
And it didn’t disappoint. The two discuss how the scene was set up, as the cameramen were hidden so it felt realistic and true to life. Krasinski also reveals that when shooting for the scenes in Casino Night, it was very quiet, with a strong feeling on intensity as everyone knew what was about to happen. Fischer continues to explain that it is the first time she sees John when filming that scene, with Krasinski coming round the camera. Knowing this, it feels even more natural. Are we sure that these two weren’t in love in real life?!
The comment section of the video sees a ton of users debating on whether Casino Night is the episode we see Jim and Pam kiss. Many fans argue that their first kiss occurs in the first episode of Season 2, The Dundies. What do you think?
