The UK usually have to wait a little longer for American content to head overseas. While Netflix provides us with a ton of amazing content, licensed series can sometimes take a while, with new seasons dropping on the streaming service much later than its release date. UK subscribers have waited what feels like a lifetime, but Season 7 of Brooklyn Nine-Nine is heading to the UK!
It seems fans have been desperate for the latest season to drop, with Netflix finally shedding some clarity on the show. The streaming platform took to Twitter to announced the news: “The best day of the year is when we can *actually* give you an answer when you ask where the next season of B99 is. Today is that day. Brooklyn Nine-Nine S7 comes to Netflix UK/IE on 26 March.”
Fans can’t help but push their luck!
While fans were delighted to hear the news, it didn’t stop people asking when season 8 will be on its way. Production has been pushed back due to safety reasons surrounding the pandemic, with the cast recently seen shooting again for the upcoming season. Netflix later tweeted: “Nice to see that, as tradition dictates, there are people asking for S8 already…”. It seems so many of us just can’t help ourselves!
Season 8 should soon hit the air, and while there is no premiere date, sources suggest more episodes should be coming in 2021. And who knows, new episodes could be comepletely different in comparison to what we already know. While B99 will remain light-hearted and hilarious, the upcoming series is going to ‘start over’ in response to the Black Lives Matter protests that occurred last year. Andre Braugher said:
“We’re going into an eighth season with a new challenge, which is that everyone’s knowledge and feelings about police… have been profoundly affected. The Nine-Nine is going to have to deal with what we know about the New York Police Department”.
UK Subscribers – get binging in time for the latest season!
